About the Acquisition
Washington Group International is now the Washington Division of URS Corporation.
URS Corporation acquired Washington Group International on November 15, 2007. The combination created a new industry leader—a single source provider of planning, engineering, design, construction, technical, management, and operations and maintenance services.
The combined company is the fourth largest among U.S. publicly traded engineering and construction companies based on 2006 revenues, and it has more than 56,000 employees serving public and private sector clients worldwide.
