Award Highlights*
We rank eighth on the list of “North America’s Top Companies for Leaders” an honor recognized by global human resources firm Hewitt Associates along with FORTUNE magazine, and The RBL Group. Other companies on the list include General Electric, Procter & Gamble, and IBM.
For the past three years, Washington Division, our projects and subsidiaries have ranked among "America's Safest Companies" by Occupational Hazards magazine:

Our joint venture coal mining operations at the MIBRAG complex in eastern Germany has been repeatedly recognized by RoSPA including a 2007 "Silver Award" in recognition of a "high level of performance."
In an unprecedented collaboration within our industry, we signed an alliance agreement with OSHA to share best practices and technical knowledge in order to foster a safer American workplace.
