Why I joined:
I felt that Washington Division actually cared about the rest of the world and was trying to make the world a better, safer, cleaner place.

Why I've stayed:
The thing I like most about Washington Division is that the executives don't treat you as a number; you have a lot of visibility. It’s not just a marketing strategy or slogan. The senior managers are very personable, very approachable and most of all, down to earth. You could actually walk into the offices of any one of the executives, and have a conversation.

What I do:
After I graduated, I joined Washington Division's Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance group at the GE Energy steam turbine and generator manufacturing facility in upstate New York.

From there I took on roles of increasing responsibility from maintenance management systems implementation lead, to Six Sigma Black Belt, to project manager for capital improvement projects for the GE Schenectady site.

After the completion of the GE Contract, I was selected to participate in Washington Division’s Professional Rotational Experience Program (PREP), which involves 3-4 rotations of six months each working in various business areas and locations around the country.

Today, I am part of the Engineering Systems and Standards team, helping to ensure standard and integrated engineering processes across the entire division.
