Oil, Gas & Chemicals

Why I joined:
I wanted to travel and experience different cultures.

Why I've stayed:
I see my career really moving forward and diversifying. I've been able to see the business side, the engineering side and how we control our schedule and costs. I've learned to roll all those things together to make smart decisions.

What I do:
I've always been curious about nuclear chemistry and physics so I was excited to work at the Savannah River Site, handling and storing plutonium and neptunium materials.

I then decided I wanted broader experience, especially with commercial projects. I thought the Professional Rotational Experience Program (PREP) would be an ideal fit, since the program is designed to expose new hires to a wide range of work in a short period of time.

My first rotation with PREP was at the Princeton office in the life science process group. My project manager let me take on as much responsibility as I could handle.
Soon, I was organizing all field activities and managing the mechanical engineering scope.

After that, I went to the Denver office to learn procurement basics, followed by a rotation at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal to see a top notch safety program first-hand.

I am now working in the Oil, Gas & Chemical process group and learning more every day.
