We provide integrated engineering, construction, and management solutions across six major global markets:
Defense: Our work is helping make the world a safer place. As the leader in global threat reduction, we are eliminating 78 percent of the weapons in the U.S. chemical stockpile and are involved in similar efforts in Eastern Europe. We are demilitarizing nuclear weapons delivery and production systems as well as providing border-security systems, infrastructure hardening, and homeland-security solutions globally. Our work with the U.S. Department of Defense and predecessor agencies goes back to 1933.
Energy & Environment: We manage high risk, technically complex programs and facilities for the U.S. Department of Energy and other federal agencies, including cleaning chemical and radioactive waste sites. Our projects include the Los Alamos, Savannah River, Idaho and Lawrence Livermore National Labs. We are also involved in the development of alternative energy sources as well as providing solutions to space programs including Mars Rover and New Horizons missions.
Industrial/Process: We provide full project life-cycle services from front-end studies to complete engineering, procurement, and construction to facility management and production maintenance for an impressive range of markets and Fortune 500 clients worldwide. We support the business objectives of our clients in oil, gas, and chemicals; industrial/manufacturing; biopharmaceutical; consumer products; automotive; integrated services; and other markets.
Infrastructure: We develop practical, efficient, and innovative solutions for rail and transit, water resources, and highway projects worldwide – applying our complete in house capabilities and the latest technologies to early project conception and development, final design and construction, program management, and operations and maintenance.
Mining: Our work in mining spans the globe, from the sub-zero temperatures of Canada, to the tropical conditions of Jamaica, to Germany and beyond. We use state-of-the-art technologies to deliver the highest productivity and safety in the extraction and processing of metals, industrial minerals, and energy resources.
Power: We provide engineering, design, construction, modification, and maintenance of power-generating facilities and the systems that transmit and distribute their electricity. We have engineered and/or constructed nearly 250,000 megawatts of electricity in the world – more than any other contractor and equivalent to almost one-fourth of the current U.S. generating capacity.
