Threat Reduction
Our work in threat reduction includes eliminating weapons of mass destruction as well as providing expertise in countering and mitigating threats. We apply our demilitarization experience to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosives.
We have successfully managed and integrated some of the world’s most complex, technically challenging and first-of-a-kind demilitarization projects. This includes the world’s largest and most extensive chemical weapons materiel handling and disposal effort.
- On Johnston Atoll in the Pacific Ocean, we successfully managed and integrated activities for a prototype chemical weapons disposal facility for the U.S. Army.
- Under contract for the Cooperative Threat Reduction Initiative between the United States and former Soviet Union countries, we managed and integrated local subcontractors as part of our work in strategic missile destruction.
- We managed and integrated all activities for a former chemical weapons munitions’ production facility in Weldon Spring, Missouri.
- In Albania, we are the prime contractor for the destruction of abandoned chemical weapons materiel using transportable thermal treatment equipment produced in Europe.
- We are the world leader in operating plants that destroy chemical weapons munitions.
- We have extensive experience in the characterization, remediation, removal and disposal of explosives, hazardous, toxic and radioactive waste (HTRW).
We have performed the role of program manager or integrating contractor for government and commercial clients around the world. We assist in all aspects of a project from conception to closedown and environmental remediation. Lifecycle Services
