In Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, 600 Washington Division employees work three shifts, 24 hours per day, responsible for forecasting, procurement, and distribution management at IBM's Central Parts Distribution facility. They manage the $4-billion annual process of 300,000 items per month in support of clients in 75 countries worldwide and thousands of IBM customer service representatives in the United States.
