Among our signature projects is the Hudson Bergen Light Rail Transit project—the first design-build-operate-maintain transit project in the United States where we are now providing operations and maintenance under a 20-year contract. Other significant rail and transit projects include:
- Pasadena Gold Line and Eastside Extension Projects for Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (design-builder)
- Euclid Corridor Transportation Project, one of the federal top 10 bus rapid transit demonstration projects in Cleveland, Ohio (Construction Management)
- San Fernando Valley BRT (designer and design-build team member)
We have the resources and talent to partner with clients to develop their transit systems, as we are doing in Houston, Texas, for the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County. Washington Division is also responsible for developing a 23-mile extension of the Washington Metro System.
Bringing a talented staff of rail and transit experts, Washington Division provides the full range of development, management, design, construction, and O&M services, with special expertise in vehicle rehabilitation and signal control and communication systems.
Since 1968, we have provided uninterrupted design and construction review services for the signal control and communication systems – above and below ground – on each line of the expanding Washington Metro system in Washington D.C.
For the Miami-Dade Transit Metrorail and Metromover System in Florida, Washington Division is providing vehicle rehabilitation services for cars that are nearly 20 years old, and, along with rehabilitation, we are inspecting new transit vehicles to ensure they have met design specifications.
