Construction / Construction Management
Since 1912 Washington Division has been managing some of the world's most challenging projects – from the frozen Arctic to the jungles of South America.
In addition to projects that have come to define the 20th Century, our accomplishments include such industry innovations as the development of the joint-venture concept and fast-track engineering and construction techniques.
Our construction delivery systems include:
- Construction as a general contractor – we possess the resources and financial strength to handle the largest, most complex construction projects in the world.
- Construction management – we subcontract work to pre-qualified contractors and supervise and coordinate all construction activities.
Delivery systems can be provided on a stand-alone basis or as part of a design-build (DB); engineering, procurement, construction (EPC); or engineering, procurement, construction, management (EPCM)contract. Our services include construction using:
- Union
- Non-union–through our subsidiary, Rust Constructors
- Merit-shop
Our construction heritage includes:
- Leading the largest design-build-operate-maintain transit project underway in the United States today - the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Line in New Jersey.
- Building the world's longest power transmission line - across 1,000 miles of jungle in central Africa.
- Constructing the most challenging section of the TransAlaska Pipeline - 153 miles north from the Port of Valdez .
- Constructing the San Roque Multi-Purpose Dam - a national flagship project for the Philippines and one of the tallest earth and rock-fill dams.
- Reconstruction of infrastructure, power and other facilities in Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan.
