The nuclear renaissance is charging forward – thousands of megawatts are in various stages of development across the United States, and URS' Washington Division is moving ahead with the charge. We have been there from the beginning and we remain in the forefront of the industry as a vital player in our country’s pursuit of energy independence and our positioning as an international supplier of nuclear management expertise.
Now it’s time to focus our efforts for the new nuclear generation market in the region of the U.S. where the next wave of new nuclear plants will be built – the Southeast. We are establishing our URS Nuclear Center in Fort Mill, South Carolina, just 18 miles from Charlotte. We have a solid backlog of commercial nuclear power projects that is growing rapidly with challenging assignments encompassing engineering and construction on advanced technology projects and several engineering alliance agreements.
