Project Overview
Washington Division was awarded a $55 million, 4-year contract with two 3-year extension options for full-service toll collection operations and maintenance of the Central Texas Turnpike. The 65-mile, $3.6 billion, state-of-the-art toll road system is currently being built to support the rapidly growing Austin area and consists of three interconnected toll roads—SH 130, SH 45 North, and Loop 1.

Highlights & Accomplishments:
- The first 40-mile segment opened in December 2006. Months prior to its opening, our project team worked closely with TxDOT and its marketing contractor to develop innovative TxTAG marketing and distribution campaigns. The result was the highest electronic toll collection participation rate ever experienced by a new toll road system in the U.S.—achieving 75% enrollment only 1 month after the opening of the first segment.
- We are also performing video toll-billing services for SH 121 located in Dallas and Loop 49 toll road in Tyler County. Within the first month of full operations, we processed 3.5 million video images and issued more than 150,000 invoices.
- As an expansion to the original contract, we are providing toll operations and management for the Central Texas Regional Mobile Authority (CTRMA) which recently opened its first toll road in Austin
