Project Overview

As part of a consortium of Washington Division and Al Jaber Energy Services of Abu Dhabi, we were awarded a $360 million contract from Qatargas Operating Company Limited to provide design, equipment procurement, and construction services for a new sulfur-handling facility serving the natural-gas processing market in Qatar.
 
The plant is being built at Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar, will handle and process up to 12,000 metric tons of sulfur per day.

Initially engaged to brainstorm design options for the sulfur collection and processing aspects of the project, Washington Division continued with the front-end engineering design (FEED) phase, and is now in final design and construction.
