Project Safety Highlights - Energy & Environment

In the 1950s the site served to produce basic materials used in the fabrication of nuclear weapons. WSRC employees manage the nuclear weapons and nuclear materials.
2006 Highlights:
- Most consecutive days (263) without an injury requiring a day away from work in project history. More than 11 million hours were accumulated during that period.
- In 2006, we logged the fewest number of injuries in every category that we have tracked since we began managing the project in 1989.
- Our total recordable case rate at the site was 0.55.
- The number of consecutive days without an electrical safety event (116) was second best in site history. The record is 118 days.
